SID as a VST plug-ins

Hundreds of hours spent before the 14-inch display screen, joystick in hand and to the excellent music which was accompanied by thunder in the background, generated by the 8-bit SID sound chip. All this gave a result: a lot of fun, and great fun, and even parents had us out of his head. Today, the sentiment I remember those days. The use of emulator games for the PC is not the same although it is a way to remind yourself of those interesting moments of my childhood.

I can proudly say that I belong to a generation that has grown up on video games are installed (loaded) on the Commodore 64, Atari. Many years have elapsed from the time when I had the opportunity to upload your favorite game from a cassette tape or floppy disk with 5.25 which was then a great luxury, and the floppy drive had a few - read what the owners richer awaiting the moment when the screen appears a blue screen (and it is not far from the famous Windows blue screen of death) - then only enough to enter the command: RUN - and then the fun began.

What is mentioned above, the SID? The English Sound Interface Device driver designed by Bob Yannesa, co-founder of the company Ensoniq. He criticized the competing competing companies that deal with the generation of primitive sound systems., Which were designed by people having no clue about music. SID sound chip is the first, which were placed in home computers. He became (along with the graphical layout VIC II) the reason for such high sales of the C64 in history.
